True Crime | Running Riot: Britain's Teen Crims (2014)

Running Riot: Teen Crims steps into the lives of some of the UKs most prolific teenage criminals who believe they are beyond the law.

Delivering a dramatic, blow-by-blow account of the shocking crimes committed by teenagers, this 60-minute documentary also reveals the aftermath of the cases – are they likely to reform, or are they destined for a life of criminality?

Under 18s were recently responsible for more than a million crimes in just one year. In Running Riot: Teen Crims, four stories of adolescent crime reveal the realities of life for some of Britains most notorious young offenders, and the life-shattering crimes they perpetrate.

The documentary follows the 'ASBROS' the Oakley brothers, amongst the countrys youngest recipients of an ASBO (Anti-Social Behaviour Order), who terrorised a whole community for years.

The Oakleys committed their crimes together, but the documentary looks at what happens when teenagers band together to commit mob crime like the epidemic of steaming in London where one gang rampaged through 44 mobile phone stores.

Their parents cant stop them, and they're not afraid of the police. They're armed and dangerous and are convinced they are beyond the law.

Featuring interviews with perpetrators, police and victims, and CCTV footage of the unfolding crime events, Running Riot: Teen Crims will show how out of control teenagers could become tomorrows hardened criminals.
