There’s been a stunning new discovery in Central America, as archaeologists from the University of Houston have discovered the tomb of, ok apologies in advance, Te K’ab Chaak, the first ruler of the ancient Maya city of Caracol.
He was the founder of his royal dynasty and the find comes after some four decades of excavation at Caracol, which, for those that don’t know is the largest Maya archaeological site in Belize.
