Elon Musk recently tweeted that he wants to help restore vision in blind people, and not just that, but to give them better than normal human vision, superhuman vision.
His company Neuralink is currently developing new brain implants that circumvent the entire eye and send data directly to the visual cortex, a project they dubbed "Blindsight".
Scientists have now had a close look at the potential of this technology.
